There are plenty of stars in this pack to share between a couple of descent size rooms, or to load up just one room's ceiling with stars. There is also PLENTY of putty to use. In fact, at the rate I'm going, I expect to have a little bit left over. You really only need to use a very small amount. The stars will stick (and stay!) with the tiniest amount. If you can't contain youself from using alot of putty for each star, then you will run out for sure. I got these thinking they might help my 3 year old in the dark at night. I was going to put them all up at once, when I realized she could earn them. For every night she goes to bed without giving us the run around, she earns one star. For every nap she takes, she earns two. It works a good chunk of the time. Anyway, I highly recommend this company for glow in the dark ceiling stars.

Great glow starsMay 20, 2008

This product glowed great, could of had more large stars, but definitely better then the other brand of stars I purchased. Glowed really bright with only a few minutes of light on them. My 3 year old loves them, I made all sorts of swirls and stuff, she loves showing them to everyone that comes over.

This is Great!!! The price is outstanding and there is a ton of stars in the package. We had a lot of fun making the constellations that we wanted, and just putting random stars around the rest of the ceiling. They stay glowing for quite a long time, so they are not only fun for kids, but can make an interestingly romantic setting as well. I recommend this to all, of any age!!!

After looking for some stars to place on my GF's room I decided on this ones.
I purchased 2 sets (300 stars total) and we are really satisfied, her father was amazed at how they looked :)
A tip: We used a projector and the Stellarium (free application on the web) to replicate some constellations on the room roof and walls, way easier than trying to replicate the positions and sizes.
Assortment is great, and the stars are really bright, I have not measured yet, but after 1 hour they where still glowing pretty bright, I bet they can go to 2 hours.
Each package comes with enough putty for around 400 stars (we used only 1 putty for the 2 packages and we still have some left) and it holds them pretty well, remember you only need a dot, no need to place putty on the whole star's back for them to hold on.
I will definitely buy this set again if I need more (roof is full now hehe)
The only "negative" I could find is in the included star map. Some of the constellations are different from the "official" ones you will find on many sites and books, but this is no biggie (I used other map to project it with the computer so I didn't used it anyway).
